Discover the elegance and ease of Cross Step Waltz in this beginner-friendly spring series. A newer social dance inspired by 1920s French waltz, Cross Step Waltz is known for its flowing movement, relaxed rhythm, and creative potential. Danced to slower, beautiful music, it invites a sense of calm and connection while encouraging expression and presence. Growing in popularity around the world, it’s the perfect way to unwind midweek and experience the graceful joy of dancing in flow.
Join us for three Wednesday evenings, April 9–23, from 6:30–8:30 pm, in the beautiful and spacious Sequoia Room at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center in Menlo Park. Classes are taught in two progressive series—Waltz Foundations I and II—which can be taken together for a seamless, enriching experience. Whether you're brand new or looking to deepen your skills, there's a place for you on the dance floor.
Cross Step Waltz was created at Stanford University in 1995, and the instructors learned it directly from its founder. Come as you are—no partner or experience needed.
